The Grapes
Swan's Neck Vodka starts with the grapes. Grown on French vineyards, the grapes are harvested each year in early October and made into wine. The wine is then distilled using a column distillation process in order to make the grape vodka spirits.
Alambic Distillation
The grape vodka spirits are then twice again distilled using French traditional copper Alambics. The Alambic distillation begins with the boiler, where the liquid base is heated in copper kettles over a naked flame. Distillate vapors rise to the onion-shaped kettle top, and then exit through the curved copper piping known as the Col de cygne, or Swan's Neck. The distillate vapors travel to the condenser tank, where cool waters surrounding the copper coil return the vapors to liquid form. This process is then repeated.
The copper Alambic distillation shapes the character of the spirit, opening-up and releasing the grape aromatics and flavor essences, while softening the liquid spirits. The result is an elegant, balanced, and complex vodka.
Swan's Neck Distinction
French grapes and traditional copper Alambic distillation result in this fragrant, silky, elegant spirit of true distinction. Try all of our Swan's Neck vodkas, and savor the finesse.
